Tommy Thompson

Tommy Thompson was born Oct 10, 1948. A graduate of Owensboro High School, he earned a BSBA from the University of Florida and a MBA from Indiana University. He was recognized as an Outstanding Young Man of Owensboro in 1977, and among the Outstanding Young Men of America in 1981.

Tommy is President of Thompson Homes Inc., and was inducted into both the Kentucky and National Housing Halls of Fame in 2000. His involvement with many local organizations and institutions includes: BB and T, Junior Achievement of Owensboro, the Cliff Hagan Boys and Girls Club, Leadership Owensboro, Brescia University, and the local School-To-Work Program. Tommy received a Mayor's Award for Excellence in 1994. 

Since his election to the General Assembly in 2002, Tommy Thompson has represented Legislative District 14 in Kentucky's General Assembly, including serving as the 2003 Vice Chair for the House Banking and Insurance Committee.

Tommy Thompson is married to Judith Hayden Thompson. They have three children: Nick, Wes, and Hunter.
